| Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber which is easily manufactured and has optical characteristic stable in the longitudinal direction and in which the generation of SBS is suppressed. SOLUTION: The optical fiber includes: a core part in which speed of sound is reduced in a stepwise fashion or continuously from the center to the position of 85% of radius; and a clad part which is formed at the outer periphery of the core part and has a refractive index lower than that of the core part and in which the speed of sound is slower, wherein a several kinds of dopants including a dopant which increases the refractive index and reduces the speed of sound, and a dopant which increases both the refractive index and the speed of sound are added to the optical fiber.
