Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of maintaining its design regardless of whether a sheet inverting device is attached or not and reducing its height when the sheet inverting device is not attached to the apparatus. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 10 comprises: an image forming apparatus main body 12; a double-sided unit 54 attached to the image forming apparatus main body 12 so as to be freely detached therefrom and used to invert a sheet; and a cover 14 attached to the image forming apparatus main body 12 so as to be freely opened or closed, and covering the double-sided unit 54.
