SOLUTION: This cerebral function-improving agent is characterized by containing the specific ingredient of Ganoderma atrum. The specific ingredient is a substance exhibiting the maximum absorption peak at 280 to 330 nm and containing an aromatic ring in the molecule. The solution of the ethyl acetate-soluble content of this ingredient is colorable.
