Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid state image sensor which can avoid deterioration in image quality due to difference in gain of amplifier, and to provide its driving method. SOLUTION: The solid state image sensor 10 comprises a plurality of photoelectric converting sections 12 and 22 arranged in matrix in the vertical and horizontal directions, vertical charge transfer sections 14 and 24 provided along the vertical direction of the photoelectric converting sections 12 and 22, and horizontal charge transfer sections 32 and 34 provided along the horizontal direction of the photoelectric converting sections 12 and 22 and to which signal charges are transferred from the vertical charge transfer sections 14 and 24. An imaging region where the plurality of photoelectric converting sections 12 and 22 are arranged is divided into a plurality of regions.
