AQUEOUS ADHESIVE COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous adhesive composition having biodegradability and affording high adhesive performance through forming an adhesive layer without infiltrating inside even if the adherend in question is a woody material. SOLUTION: The aqueous adhesive composition comprises the main ingredient comprising a polylactic acid emulsion, an aqueous polymer and a filler and a curing agent comprising a tertiary amino-nitrogen atom-bearing tetrafunctional epoxy compound and apolyamide-epoxy resin. In this aqueous adhesive composition, the amount of the polylactic acid emulsion is 0.2-45 wt.%, in terms of solids, based on the total amount of the main ingredient, the amount of the aqueous polymer is 4-56 wt.%, in terms of solids, based on the total amount of the main ingredient, and the amount of the filler is 5-55 wt.% based on the total amount of the main ingredient; and the amount of the tetrafunctional epoxy compound is 0.5-30 pts.wt, in terms of solids, based on 100 pts.wt. of the main ingredient and the amount of the polyamide-epoxy resin is 0.2-40 pts.wt., in terms of solids, based on 100 pts.wt. of the main ingredient.
