OPERATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation device capable of controlling a control object by using rotational displacement, and of simplifying operation. SOLUTION: This air-conditioning operation device 1A is composed by being provided with: a nearly keyboard key-shaped operation piece 5 operating with one end held to an instrument panel 3 as a rotary support in a nearly-horizontal state, and with the other end operated downward by a user; and a conversion mechanism 8 operating a control object by converting the downward movement of the operation piece 5 to intermittent rotary motion in one direction. The conversion mechanism 8 has a structure provided with: a shaft 9 linearly moving by the movement of the operation piece 5; a spring 13 energizing the shaft 9 in a restoring direction; and a rotation imparting means 24 imparting rotation to the shaft 9 in moving the shaft 9.
