Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transgenic non-human animal that serves as a model animal for neurodegenerative diseases, a screening method for treating agent for neurodegenerative diseases that use the transgenic non-human animal, and a method for determining the side effects of a therapeutic agent for neurodegenerative diseases. SOLUTION: The transgenic non-human animal is one that has a promoter which functions in the central nervous system cells and a variant β-synuclein gene, introduced into the animal, wherein the variant β-synuclein gene is manifested in cerebral nerve cells and/or central nervous system glial cells.
