Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly inspect the plug materials installed in a large number of cells provided on a honeycomb structure one by one at the time of production of the honeycomb structure. SOLUTION: A light source 31 is installed in a box and an inspection stand 30, which has a through-hole 33 with a diameter less than that of a work 40 provided on its surface 32 counter to the installation surface of the box, is installed in a dark room 10. Succeedingly, one of both end surfaces of the work 40 is installed on the through-hole 33 and the light emitted from the light source 31 is incident only on the inside of the work 40 through the through-hole 33. At this time, it is investigated whether light is leaked from each of the cells provided with the respective plug materials in the other one of both end surfaces of the work 40 to inspect whether a gap is formed in the holes of the work 40.
