METHOD FOR PRODUCING TRIS[TRIS(DIMETHYLAMINO)PHOSPHORANYLIDENAMINO]PHOSPHINE OXIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrially advantageous method for producing a tris[tris(dimethylamino)phosphoranylidenamino]phosphine oxide, effectively reducing the chlorine-containing impurity compounds with a simple method and obtain the objective compound having high purity. SOLUTION: The production method comprises: (A) a step to react an iminotris(dimethylamino)phosphorane with phosphorus oxychloride in the presence of a solvent; (B) a step to remove a solid component containing aminotris(dimethylamino)phosphonium chloride produced in the step A; (C1) a step to add an alkali metal compound and/or an alkaline earth metal compound to the reaction liquid obtained by the step B in order to react with a chlorine-containing by-product and convert chlorine to an inorganic chlorine compound which is sparingly soluble in the solvent; and (D1) a step to remove the solid component containing the inorganic chlorine compound in the reaction liquid obtained by the step C1.
