Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image registration method and an image registration apparatus which make it possible to register image data in a terminal on the other party without the other party performing terminal operation. SOLUTION: When a data record which registers identification data of a first terminal (terminal on the initiating party) exists in a second terminal (terminal on the receiving party) and the data is not registered in a predetermined field of the data record, a data transfer request is transmitted from the second terminal to the first terminal. The data transmitted from the first terminal to the second terminal in response to the data transfer request is registered in the predetermined field of the data record of the second terminal.
