ROTARY SWITCH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary switch with a reduced area necessary for mounting. SOLUTION: The rotary switch is provided with a housing 2 formed in a dimension and shape fit for mounting on an opening for fixture mounting of a mounting frame 9 standardized for embedding, and two pieces of switch parts held by the housing 2 set in parallel in a length direction as seen from the front of the housing 2. Each switch part is provided with a handle 3 held by the housing 2 in free turning, a fixed contact 42 as well as a movable contact 41 coming in and out of contact with the fixed contact with turning of the handle 3, a movable side terminal board 51 electrically connected to the movable contact 41, and a fixed side terminal board 52 electrically connected to the fixed contact 42. Since the circuit with two circuits can be used for one opening for fixture mounting of a mounting frame, an area needed for mounting can be reduced, as compared with the case of one with just one circuit.
