CARD KEY COLLECTION/ISSUING UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card key collection/issuing unit for collecting and reissuing of hotel card keys, without manual intervention. SOLUTION: At the time of the collection of a card key 20, both sides of the card key 20 is read by double-sided scanners 13, 14, so as to decide in a decision section (5) whether the card key 20 is nondefective article of. When the card key 20 is a defective article, a rejection means 9 moves downward, so as to house the card key 20 into a second card key housing means 15. When the card key 20 is a nondefective article, the rejection means 9 moves upward, so as to house the card key 20 into a first card key housing means 11. At issuing of the card key 20, an issuance drive section 12 extracts card keys 20, housed and accumulated, in the order of collection in the first card key housing means 11, one by one, starting from the lowest, so as to issue.
