Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire inspection method capable of greatly reducing manpower and time required to determine a defective area of a tire. SOLUTION: A defective area 16 is detected by using an image of a tire 12 taken by a X-ray camera 15. Then, as the tire 12 rotates in the direction of b, the arrival of an identification part 11 at the position where the defective area 16 has been detected is detected by an identification part detector 14. Then, the time between the detection of the defective area 16 and the arrival of the identification part 11 at the position where the defective area 16 has been detected is measured, and the time is converted into a distance by using an angular velocity. Thus, by calculating a distance from an angular velocity, which position the defective area 16 is present in with respect to the identification part 11 can be easily determined, enabling great reduction in time required to determine the defective area 16.
