GERMANIUM-CONTAINING HIGH STRENGTH TITANIUM ALLOY HAVING EXCELLENT COLD WORKABILITY, AND ORNAMENT OR ACCESSORY MADE OF THE ALLOY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Ge-containing high strength titanium alloy having excellent cold workability. SOLUTION: The Ge-containing high strength titanium alloy has a composition comprising, by mass, 20 to 40% Nb and 0.2 to 4.0% Ge, if required, further comprising one or more kinds selected from Mo, Ta, W, V, Cr, Ni, Mn, Co, Fe, Cu and Si by ≤15% in total, and the balance Ti with inevitable impurities, and deterioration in cold workability caused by the addition and incorporation of Ge is reduced by incorporating β phase formation-stabilization elements essentially composed of Nb so as to be a β type titanium alloy.
