CHEMICAL FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemical filter which has high air permeability, exhibits high performance when used for adsorbing/collecting a gaseous impurity component and has a long service life but does not contaminate the usage environment. SOLUTION: The chemical filter is characterized in that tackiness is imparted to a base material 4 for deposition, in which cylindrical structures 2 for forming air passages 1 are arrayed, and an adsorbent 5 is held on the base material 4 for deposition by utilizing the imparted tackiness. Since the adsorbent 5 is spot-stuck to the wall surface of the cylindrical structure 2 by a tacky adhesive and only a small portion of an adsorption site is plugged by the tacky adhesive, the chemical filter has large adsorption capacity. Since the adsorbent 5 remaining at the place other than the wall surface of the cylindrical structure 2 does not plug the air passage 1, the chemical filter has the long service life and high air permeability.
