Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal wherein at least one of side walls has at least two deformations which act alternately on the opposite surfaces of a contact blade which is associated with the side wall, so as to continuously control a contact pressure exerted by a contact blade on the surface of a male contact when the male contact is inserted. SOLUTION: The female electrical contact terminal is obtained from a single electrically conducting metal sheet and has a rear part enabling it to be connected to an electrical conductor and a front part in the form of a cage consisting of an end wall, two side walls (26) and two upper half wall surfaces. The side walls are provided with means for guiding the male contact to be inserted and with means for fixing the cage in connection housings, and each upper half wall surface and side wall are linked by a 180° bend part to an internal tab defining a contact blade (29). The side wall (26) has the deformations (46, 55) which act alternately on the opposite surfaces of the contact blade (29) which is associated with the side wall, and a clearance space limiting the maximum movement of the contact blade (29) is defined between a passive position when no contact pressure is exerted and an active position when the maximum contact pressure is exerted so as to continuously control the contact pressure exerted by the contact blade on the male contact when it is inserted by the deformations.
