Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbide-precipitated cast iron material exhibiting high Young's modulus even in the case the amounts of Nb, Mo, V and W to be added are made relatively small, thus having high rigidity, and to provide its production method. SOLUTION: A molten metal comprising, by mass, 2 to 3.2% C and 0.6 to 3.3% Si, and preferably lying in a hypoeutectic region is admixed with at least either one kind selected from Nb, Mo, V and W by 0.5 to 20 mass% in total. Next, casting is performed using the molten metal, so as to produce a casting. This casting is cooled, so as to precipitate the carbide of at least one kind selected from Nb, Mo, V and W into the metallic structure. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
