Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inclination calculating method capable of calculating the correct inclination of a line by correctly detecting a plurality of points on the line in an image read by a scanner. SOLUTION: The inclination calculating method comprises a step of reading a pattern of a plurality of line arranged in a predetermined direction and acquiring an image of the plurality of lines, a step of setting a reference point on a certain line on the image, a step of detecting a point corresponding to the line as a first point on the certain line from a first area having a predetermined width in the predetermined direction around the reference point and distant from the reference point by a first predetermined value, a step of detecting a point corresponding to the line as a second point on the certain line from a second area having a predetermined width in the predetermined direction around the reference point and distant from the reference point by a second predetermined value, and a step of calculating the inclination of the certain line based on the first point and the second point.
