DEVICE AND METHOD FOR INSPECTING FLAP OF PAPER CONTAINER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To positively prevent a shipment of a paper container having a defective flap. SOLUTION: A paper container 30 is moved on a conveyor 35 with one side surface 30a directed in the advancing direction. A paper container flap inspection device 36 for inspecting a fixed state of an upper flap 31 fixed to the side face 30a of the paper container 30 comprises a detection means 37, a control means 38 and a discharging means 39. The detection means 37 comprises a first detection unit 41 which is provided parallel to the side face 30a and the top surface 30c of the paper container 30 in a vicinity of the upper flap 31 in a non-contact manner with the paper container 30, and a second detection unit 42 provided above the upper flap 31, parallel to the side surface 30a of the paper container 30, and orthogonal to the top surface 30c. The first detection unit 41 is a transmission type photoelectric switch composed of a light emitting element unit 41a, a light receiving element unit 41b and the optical axis 41c, and the second detection unit 42 uses a photoelectric switch by the reflection type optical axis 42a.
