Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-mounting thin capacitor capable of preventing the occurrence of the short circuit between the anode and the cathode when the capacitor is connected to the terminals for surface mounting with a conductive paste. SOLUTION: This surface-mounting thin capacitor uses the capacitor 10 wherein an anode body is formed of a plate-like or foil-like extended valve-action metal, the anodes 16 are provided at both ends of this anode body, a dielectric layer consisting of an oxide film is formed on the surface of at least central region of the anode body and the cathode 15 with the conductive polymer, graphite, and silver paste layers is provided on the dielectric layer. In the way, anode terminals 12 connected to the anodes 16 and exposed on the substrate mounting surface are provided, and a cathode terminal 14 connected to the cathode 15 via an conductive paste 13 and exposed on the substrate mounting surface is provided. The anode terminal 12 has a connection portion not only inside the bottom of an insert mold resin case 17 but also inside the sidewall of the insert mold resin case 17, and is connected to the anode 16 of the capacitor 10 via the conductive paste 13.
