Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably retain a transport object at low temperatures for a long time in a low temperature transport system. SOLUTION: The low temperature transport system 1 is provided with a heat insulating container 2 having a container body 2a and a lid body 2b covering a top face opening of the container body 2a, the transport object 8 placed in the heat insulating container 2, and dry ice 4 placed in the heat insulating container 2 to carry out cold insulation of the transport object 8. The dry ice 4 is composed by placing a dry ice group 4a comprised of multiple pieces of dry icepellets, and pieces of plate-like dry ice comprised of chunks larger than the dry icepellets in the heat insulating container 2 in a mixed state.
