SOLUTION: The production process contains a reaction step to form a 9,9-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)fluorenes, a dehydration step to dehydrate the reaction product obtained by the reaction step, a concentration step to concentrate the 9,9-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)fluorenes, a crystallization step to perform the crystallization of the concentrated liquid obtained by the concentration step by cooling, etc., a crystallized product separation step to separate the slurry, the mother liquor and the washing liquid, a solvent removing step to remove the solvent from the slurry containing the crystal obtained by the crystallized product separation step, a solvent purifying step to purify at least a part of the liquid containing the solvent obtained by the solvent removing step, the mother liquor obtained by the crystallized product separation step and the washing liquid, and a phenols purifying step to purify the mother liquor obtained by the crystallized product separation step and supply the purified product to the reaction step.
