INK-JET RECORDING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet recording apparatus provided with a belt cleaning function capable of stably cleaning a belt surface with a simple structure without fluctuating a belt even in recording operation. SOLUTION: The ink-jet recording apparatus includes a conveying means having an endless belt which conveys a recording medium, a recording means, and a cleaning means for cleaning a recording medium conveying surface of the belt. The cleaning means is provided with a sheet like flexible member 32 mounted on a downstream side in a belt conveyance direction of an arrangement position of the recording means and provided so that a tip end can slide on the recording medium conveying surface, and an elastic support member 33 which is not in contact with the recording medium conveying surface on the downstream side in the belt conveyance direction of the sheet-like flexible member, and is provided so as to be along a side surface of the sheet-like flexible member so that the elastic support member abuts on and supports the side surface of the sheet-like flexible member when the sheet-like flexible member bends in accordance with drive of the belt, and contact pressing force with respect to the recording medium conveying surface is applied on the sheet-like flexible member.
