Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface mount thin capacitor that prevents short-circuiting in positive and negative electrode terminals and hence preventing the occurrence of a failure in leakage current characteristics and causes a small amount of capacity to decrease. SOLUTION: The surface mount thin capacitor comprises: a capacitor element, comprising an anode body 1 made of valve action metal having a plate- or foil-shaped, expanded surface, a dielectric layer formed on the expanded surface of the anode body 1, a conductive polymer layer formed at the center, and a conductive layer 14; the positive electrode terminal connected to both the ends of the anode body 1; and the negative electrode terminal connected to the conductive layer 14. Width D1 of a portion, where the conductive polymer layer and the conductive layer 14 are not formed, at a substrate mount surface side at both the ends of the anode body 1 is wider than width D2 of the same portion on a surface at the opposite side.
