Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a reduction in size as well as a reduction in electric power consumption of a motor acting as an actuator in a shift-by-wire type gear shifter. SOLUTION: An SBW-ECU executes a program including a step (S100) for detecting a turned angle of a manual shaft which changes a position of a manual valve, a step (S200) for outputting, to a motor, an output torque instruction value depending on the turned angle of the manual shaft, a step (S400) for calculating a combined output torque instruction value produced by combining torque depending on a change in shift position with an output torque instruction value when a shift position change instruction has been given (YES at S300), and a step (S500) for outputting the combined output torque instruction value to the motor.
