RECORDER, RECORDING METHOD, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the formation of a useless pattern for checking by preventing advancement to a downstream side roller of a medium in conveyance at the time of forming a pattern for checking of correction of a conveyance amount. SOLUTION: The recorder is equipped with a memory and a controller. The memory stores a plurality of correction values for correcting a target conveyance amount when the medium is conveyed. The correction values are made to correspond to relative positions between a head and the medium. The controller controls the head to record a first pattern to the medium, and makes a conveyance mechanism convey the medium by correcting the target conveyance amount using the correction value corresponding to the relative position. The controller controls the head to record a second pattern to the medium, and makes the pattern for checking recorded which is employed for checking the conveyance amount on the basis of a distance between the first pattern and the second pattern. The medium is prevented from advancing to the roller of the downstream side when the medium is conveyed during a time after the first pattern is recorded and before the second pattern is recorded.
