STRUCTURE OF CUTTING EDGE OF TIP SAW

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein a tip saw to be used to cut off a steel pipe and a bar material is a milling cutter type in general so as to improve the durability of the saw, but this type of tip saws does not easily cut into a circular workpiece, and requires a long time period for cutting, and further its cutting edge quickly deteriorates. SOLUTION: In the milling cutter type tip saw, a large number of hard tips are fixed to the circumferential portion of a disk having a shaft bore, and the hard tips are provided with cutting edges formed so as to be in parallel with the axis of the shaft bore. The cutting edges are composed of a first cutting edges left at the central portion in the direction of the width of the saw, and second cutting edges chamfered with a small chamfering angle so as to reduce their height from both end portions of the first cutting edges outward in the direction of the width of the saw.
