PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a target power stably regardless of changes in current near a prescribed phase angle while causing changes in power stably in a vacuum cleaner. SOLUTION: A microcomputer (control means) 15 controls the supply power to an electric fan 2 by a phase control gradually switching a criterion value of a phase and a current coupled with the phase according to the current flowing through the electric fan 2 detected by a current detection means 13 from a preset phase-current decision value characteristic for lowering and a preset phase-current characteristic for rising. This achieves stable changes in power while enabling the obtaining of the target power near a prescribed phase angle regardless of changes in current. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
