HOPPER APPARATUS BELONGING TO TILTING DIE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for preventing the leakage of high pressure gas from a space between a hopper storing molten metal and a die connected to the hopper caused by the temperature change of the die or the like. SOLUTION: In the titling type gravity casting device 10 where a die 11 is provided with a hopper device 12, molten metal is stored in the hopper device 12, and, when the die 11 is tilted, the molten metal 30 is poured into a cavity 22 in the die 11, the hopper device 12 consists of: a vessel part 24 fixed to a fixing die 15 composing the die 11, and in which an opening face 33 is almost coincident with the split face 23 in the die 11; a cover member 26 clogging the opening 25 of the vessel member 24; and a gas feeding means 32 connected to the cover member 26, and a seal member 28 is interposed in a space between the cover member 26 and a piece 61 extended from a movable die 16.
