Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin-type image input device for inputting an image of an object which is in a living body as an image with high quality, and a thin-type personal authentication device using the input device. SOLUTION: The image input device has an photographing optical system 100 consisting of a near-infrared ray light source 6, an optical band-pass filter for transmitting the near-infrared ray, a lens array 3 in which a plurality of plane-convex lenses 3a of which the convex surfaces face an imaging face side are array-arranged, and an imaging element 5 for photographing compound-eye image of an object in a living body 2a to be focused with the lens array 3. An MTF correction based on optical transmission factor data relating to the lens 3a is applied to the photographed compound-eye image for its each ommatidium image.
