Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for burning a ceramic formed body which can significantly enhance geometry accuracy to thereby minimize or eliminate post processing and minimize production cost by aiming at equal shrinkage in the upper part and the lower part of the formed body in a burning process. SOLUTION: In a method for burning a ceramic formed body 10 having a cylindrical shape or the like by placing it on a sagger 12, the sagger is covered with an underlay powder 14 having the same quality as that of the ceramic formed body to a thickness of 3 mm or more, preferably 10 mm or more, and the ceramic formed body is placed on the underlay-powder layer for burning.
