Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator inexpensive and capable of transmitting flame energy of an igniter to a gas generating agent effectively and shortening the time for inflating an airbag or the like. SOLUTION: The gas generator 1 comprises a cylindrical housing 4, a combustion chamber 6 wherein a gas generating agent 5 for generating high temperature gas by combustion is filled, a filter member 7 arranged within the housing 4 adjacent to the combustion chamber 6, a partition member 9 wherein a seal member 16 is adhered to a hole 9a so that inside of the housing 4 and open air do not contact with each other, a storage container 8 for storing an inflammation agent 2, an igniter 10 to generate flame from a rupture section 10a for triggering igniting and burning of the gas generating agent 5 in the combustion chamber 6, a cylindrical member 14 arranged to comprise the rupture section 10a of the igniter 10 therein, and a holder 12 calking and fixing the igniter 10 and the storage container 8 respectively.
