SOLUTION: A portable multimedia playing apparatus is provided, and the apparatus includes a first video processing unit, a second video processing unit, a third video processing unit, a multiplexer, and a digital-to-analog converter (DAC), wherein the first video processing unit produces a digital video signal, the second video processing unit processes the digital video signal to produce a signal compatible with a television, the third video processing unit processes the digital video signal to produce a signal compatible with a flat panel, the multiplexer selects one of the signals compatible with the television or the flat panel, and the digital-to-analog converter converts the selected signal and outputs an analog video signal.
