SOLUTION: The projector 100 comprises: a section 190 for projecting a calibration image including a plurality of kinds of pattern image indicative of different shapes; a section 120 for storing correction data 122 indicative of the correction value of every pattern image, a section 110 for receiving selection of the pattern image by a user; and a section 130 for correcting distortion of an image projected from the projecting section 190 based on the correction data 122 dependent on the selection.
