SOLUTION: The electrode active material is a polymer transition metal complex compound having specific structure, and the transition metal complex compound is comprised of an N,N'-bisaminobenzal compound, for example, N,N'-bis(2-aminobenzal)ethylene diaminate nickel, connected with a divalent aliphatic group or a saturated or unsaturated aromatic group, and having Ni, Pb, Co, Cu, Fe as the transition metal.
