TRANSMITTING DEVICE AND RECEIVING DEVICE OF PRINT DATA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further enhance the security of print data in confidential printing. SOLUTION: When a confidential job is created in a client PC3, head data of print data and first authentication data are stored in a USB memory 9. Second authentication data is further transmitted from the client PC3 to a print server on a network. When the USB memory 9 is removed from the client PC 3 and inserted to a network card 13 of the print server 1, the printer server 1 comparatively collates the first authentication data with the second authentication data, and when the validity of the authentication data is authenticated, the residual data of the print data is transmitted from the client PC 3 to the print server 1 through the network 7. An authentication data deletion request is transmitted to printer servers other than the printer server 1 instead of the print data.
