CONTENT RECEIVING DEVICE AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content receiving device and a content receiving method for receiving updated content in proper timing. SOLUTION: A reception time guessing part 57 guesses the trend of an update time described in a content list, and determines the reception time. The determined reception time and the address of the content list disclosed on a network are recorded in a reception setting recording part 520. A data management part 56 transmits a content list request based on the address of the content list by using a transmission/reception part 51 in the recorded reception time, and receives the content list, and specifies the content updated on the basis of the received content list, and receives the specified content by transmitting a content request based on the address described in the content list, and records the received content in a content recording part 523.
