Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a cooling device for a heating body, which has a wide plane area in a flat display device, adaptable to the temperature change of the heating body and enhancive in the cooling efficiency while keeping its shape thin in thickness and small in size. SOLUTION: In the cooling device which circulates a liquid coolant for cooling a backlight or the like having a wide area in the flat display device, a main circulating flow passage having a liquid coolant tank and a pump connected thereto is branched to provide an auxiliary circulating flow passage which cools a plane display part against heating and consists of a narrow tube. The auxiliary circulating flow passage consisting of a narrow tube comprises a heat reception part for receiving heat from the heating body like the backlight and a heat dissipating part for dissipating the heat by the heat of vaporization. In a branching part, flow rates of the liquid coolant in the main circulating flow passage and the auxiliary circulating flow passage can be controlled corresponding to the temperature rising of the heating body.
