Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant velocity universal joint capable of preventing a boot from being bitten without reducing the degree of freedom in designing the boot. SOLUTION: The distal end 6d1 of an extension portion 6d provided on the boot 6 is arranged inside of an internal edge 1c1 of the opening part end surface 1c of the outside joint member 1 in the radial direction. By this arrangement, the extension portion 6d covers part of the space formed between the outside joint member 1 and a shaft 3 so that the boot 6 is prevented from being bitten when the joint is at a high operation angle. Further, because the boot 6 can be prevented from being bitten only by folding back the extension portion 6d provided in the boot 6, the degree of freedom in designing the boot is not lowered and manufacturing costs can be reduced.
