Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively remove aluminum contained in raw water, so that the quality of pure water can be improved and residual aluminum can be prevented from sticking to a membrane treatment unit of a succeeding stage. SOLUTION: The method for producing pure water comprises: an aluminum removal step of adding an iron-based inorganic polymer flocculant such as ferric polysulfate and a polysilica-ferric oxide adduct to the raw water, which has been treated with an aluminum-based flocculant, in a flocculation and sedimentation unit 2 to remove residual aluminum; and a membrane treatment step of making the treated water via the aluminum removal step pass through the membrane treatment unit 4.
