Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a core for forming a water jacket of a cylinder block, by which accurate positioning of the cylinder liner is conducted without using a mandrel. SOLUTION: A core 2 for forming a water jacket of a cylinder block includes a cylindrical inner side part 2a and outer side parts 2b, 2b. The cylindrical inner side part 2a is attached to and formed integrally with an inner peripheral surface 1e of a cylinder liner 1, and is fixed to a core fixing part 12a of a cylinder block casting mold.
