SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with a biomass coarse crusher 1 rough-crushing the biomass, a cyclone separator 2 separating coarse grain biomass and air, a biomass feeder 4 feeding the sorted biomass, a mill 9 crushing the coarse grain biomass and the coal, and a layer thickness detecting means 11 monitoring a crushed object layer thickness at a mill crushing part to control a quantity of the coarse grain biomass supplied with a detecting signal by a detecting means 11.
