PROGRAM INFORMATION SEARCH SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program information search system which is triggered by a search trigger generated in response to variation in use environment to perform program search and to present desired optimal search results to a user. SOLUTION: The program information search system comprises a means 17 for acquiring and storing program information, means (10, 14) for setting search conditions of a desired program, a means (19) for storing search conditions set by the search condition setting means, means (10, 12, 20, 22) generating a timing signal for starting search of the program information storage means by detecting variation in use environment of the system, a means (18) for transmitting search conditions set by the search condition setting means to the search condition storage means and being triggered by a timing signal generated from the search trigger generation means to search a program corresponding to the search conditions read out from the search condition storage means out of the program information stored in the program information storage means, and means (15, 16) for outputting the search results from a search control means to the outside.
