Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner for an engine capable of easily conducting maintenance in a short period of time and capable of reducing the number of parts and cost. SOLUTION: The air cleaner is provided with a box 16 storing a cleaner element 17 and a cover 18 for opening and closing an opening 19 for inspection of the box 16. An engaging part 22 is provided at an end part of the cover 18, an engaged part 26 to which the engaging part 22 is engaged is provided at the box 16 and another end part of the cover 18 is attached to the box 16 with an attaching tool 30 in a state that the engaging part 22 is engaged with the engaged part 26.
