Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent metal powders from being filled in a cavity of a die with ununiform density, and to prevent each component of metal powders from being segregated when a mixed powder is used. SOLUTION: This charging method comprises the steps of: filling the cavity of the die 5 with a specified amount of the metal powder 7; closing a shutter 8 at the bottom opening of a powder box 6; then, descending a lower punch 3 relatively with respect to a die 1 and a core rod 4 again; and afterwards, removing the powder box 6 so as to retreat it from the position of the cavity of the die 5 along the top surface 1b of the die 1. At that time, a predetermined space is formed between an upper surface of the powder 7 filled in the cavity of the die 5 and the shutter 8 in the bottom opening part of the powder box 6, so that a lower face of the shutter 8 does not contact with the upper surface of the metal powder 7 filled in the cavity of the die 5. Accordingly, when the powder box 6 retreats, the metal powder 7 is not scraped out from the upper face of the cavity of the die 5 due to the contact with the shutter 8, and keeps its uniformly filled state in the cavity of the die 5 even after the powder box 6 has retreated.
