Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for optical diffusion having a novel composition in the resin composition for optical diffusion capable of being preferably used for a light-guiding plate for a back light of a liquid crystal apparatus or the like. SOLUTION: The resin composition for the optical diffusion has a spherical amorphous silica particle having a volume average particle diameter of 1 μm to 10 μm obtained by reacting a metal silicon powder and oxygen, and a thermoplastic transparent resin material for dispersing the spherical amorphous silica particle. By adopting the amorphous silica instead of conventionally added silicon as the particle dispersed for diffusing light, a mechanical characteristic such as strength of the resin composition for optical diffusion can be enhanced. Further, by adopting the spherical amorphous silica particle, ununiformness is not generated for diffusion of the light. By adopting the spherical amorphous silica particle in the thermoplastic transparent resin, uniform optical diffusion can be attained. Namely, since the spherical shape is adopted as the shape of the particle and the amorphous particle with no crystal is adopted, the optically high uniformness can be attained.
