METHOD OF DRIVING PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display device which suppresses the streaking without losing the luminance in an AC plasma display device. SOLUTION: In the method of driving a plasma display panel in which one frame is divided into a plurality of sub-fields, a first sustain discharge waveform and a second sustain discharge waveform are applied during a sustain discharge period of at least one subfield, wherein the time width of the second sustain discharge waveform from the beginning of the application of the voltage until the applied voltage is fixed to a predetermined voltage, is shorter than that of the first sustain discharge waveform. When there are a lot of sustain discharge frequencies of the one frame, the percentage is increased to which the second sustain discharge waveform at the sustain discharge period is applied, compared with the case of less sustain discharge frequency.
