APPARATUS AND PROGRAM FOR PROVIDING LOCATION INFORMATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for determining a departure from a route at every location including an open space such as a carrefour in which the route can not be defined. SOLUTION: The apparatus 1000 includes: a map information storing section 1002 for storing map information; a route searching section 1004 for accepting a route search request, and obtaining the route based on the map information stored in the map information storing section 1002 in accordance with the accepted route search request; a check zone setting section 1005 for setting a check zone for indicating a predetermined region in the middle of the obtained route when the route searching section 1004 obtains the route; a location information acquisition section 1001 for positioning a current location; an alarm determining section 1006 for determining whether the current location positioned by the location information acquisition section 1001 is included in the check zone; and an information providing section 1007 for outputting guide information corresponding to the check zone if the alarm determining section 1006 determines that the current location is included in the check zone.
