HOT WATER STORAGE TYPE ELECTRIC WATER HEATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water storage type electric water heater capable of being installed in a limited installation space, and having superior boil-up performance and water push-out performance of water and lukewarm water in a hot water storage tank. SOLUTION: In this hot water storage type electric water heater having the hot water storage tank 10, a water inflow port 11 and a hot water outflow port 12 formed on the hot water storage tank, and a plurality of partitioning pipes 20, forming a plurality of flow channels over the neighborhood of the water inflow port to the neighborhood of the hot water supply port in the hot water storage tank, the hot water storage tank is disposed, in a state with its horizontal length being larger than its vertical height in the installed state of the hot water storage type electric water heater; the partitioning pipes are supported, in such manner that at least two partitioning pipes from among the plurality of partitioning pipes are separated from each other; an area where the partitioning pies are separated from each other, forms a flow channel capable of forming the vertical convective flow of the water and hot water in installing the hot water storage type electric water heater; and a heater 30 is installed in the hot water storage tank, or is installed in a state of being kept into contact with the outer face of the tank so that heat can be transferred to the water and hot water, in the hot water storage tank via the outer wall of the hot water storage tank.
