SNOW MELTING DEVICE FOR RAILROAD VEHICLE, AND SNOW MELTING METHOD OF RAILROAD VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow melting device for a railroad vehicle, capable of efficiently and economically carrying out snow melting work. SOLUTION: The snow melting device 10 having a temperature measuring means 26, an injection nozzle 22, and a truck 40, comprises an image pick-up means 24; and a computing means 44 dividing an image shot by the image pick-up means 24 into a plurality of areas, carrying out first ranking in order of proportions occupied by white color part by calculating the proportions occupied by the white color part about each area, carrying out second ranking in order of lower temperature by analyzing a temperature state detected by the temperature measuring means 26 about each area obtained by dividing the image shot by the image pick-up means 24, carrying out third ranking reflecting a result of the second ranking when the area wherein the result of the first ranking becomes same exists, and carrying out forth ranking carrying out ranking by taking a priority over the area positioned at an upper part of the pick up image when the area wherein the result of the third ranking becomes same exists.
